Traffic police official shot dead in Karachi


KARACHI: A traffic authorities was shot dead in a targeted attack on Sunday in Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh.

Inning accordance with authorities, DSP Traffic Faiz Shigri was assassinated when he was stepping out from his flat near Aladdin Park.

SSP Gulshan Dr Fahad stated that two others were also hurt in the occurrence including the gunman and chauffeur of the DSP.

He said that the aggressors were riding a motorcycle, adding that examination in this regard is underway.

In a separate event, a man was shot dead in an evident target-killing incident in city’ Kaneez Fatima area.

The male was recognized as flour mill supervisor Sajid Sheikh.

In September, unknown enemies opened fire and killed a traffic police sub-inspector at 5 star Chowrangi.

Inning accordance with cops, 2 motorcycle-riding assailants opened fire on him. Following the occurrence, the assaulter got away from the area.

In Might, two cops were killed near Ayesha Manzil while performing their responsibility.

According to eyewitness accounts, the opponents came riding a bike and got away with the police officer’s main weapon after the attack.
